A perfect Mother/Daughter activity would be a visit to see this beautiful exhibition at the Mona Bismarck American Center for Art and Culture. Better hurry, though, as it will only be open until September 22.
Even a girl as young as 4 or 5 would enjoy a trip to here to see the lavish and unique dresses. At the Mona Bismarck, the exhibitions are small and intimate and housed in elegant surroundings, so a little one wouldn’t feel overwhelmed and neither would her Mother, trying to keep her well-behaved! This exhibit could be appreciated easily in 15 minutes for those with a small attention span, or an hour, looking at all the exquisite beadwork and design details.
The artistic brainchild of Vogue’s Andre Leon Talley and SCAD (Savannah Collage of Art and Design), this exhibition of couture dresses features 50 versions of the Little Black Dress, from designers such as Chanel, Oscar de la Renta, Vera Wang, Givenchy and Carolina Herrera. True eye candy!
