Darkness and the Gate of Hell, only in September!

Darkness and the Gate of Hell, only in September!

Wednesdays, September 18th and 25th, make your way to the Rodin Museum gardens for their special late night hours. Open until 11:00 pm, you can wander through at your leisure in what could be a spooky night or a romantic one, depending on the weather and your company! If your children could stay up a wee bit later on a school night, this would be a special treat for them and a great way to expose them to some classical as well as modern art. The installations of French artist Erik Samak are illuminated throughout the gardens and sure to thrill your little tyke. Exploring the gardens in the moonlight will give a whole new meaning to Rodin’s “The Thinker” and his “Gate of Hell”.

  1. Thank the Lord for Sole Traveling Mama! This is so exciting and different, what a fun evening to be had! I will surely be taking my nieces and nephews (providing they can stay out late on a school night…) to an evening at the Rodin to see what kind of mischief we can get into when walking through Rodin’s glorious gardens! Look out the “Gate of Hell” here we come! Thank you STM for “thinking outside the box”! I look forward to more of your posts, fun expeditions and exotic locations! Keep ’em comin’ Mama!
