The Medici Fountain

The Medici Fountain

Autumn is Sole Traveling Mama’s favorite time of year in the Jardin du Luxembourg. Built in 1630 at the request of Marie de’Medici, the widowed queen of Henri IV, it was created in the Italian Renaissance style and remniscent of the gardens of her childhood, the Florentine Boboli Gardens. Take a break from all the shopping and museum crowds, kick back, let your mind wander and your children wander free. You’ll feel like you are miles away from the City hustle and bustle.
