The dramatic art of contemporary French artist Yvan Richeux-Rey www.yvan-richeux-rey.com is currently on display at the Galerie de l’Europe on 55 Rue de Seine in Paris 75006. The Galerie is open daily Tuesdays through Saturdays, 10:30-13:00 and 14:00-19:00.
Born in St. Malo in 1975, Yvan moved to Paris in 2000 to turn his passion into a full-time career. Evolving in his figurative abstract art, the year 2007 marked a breakthrough year for him, as he gained recognition in the Parisian and International art communities. Yvan paints with great emotion and sensitivity and often it can take him up to two years of working on a piece before the canvas “speaks” to him that it is complete.
Sole Traveling Mama met with the artist on 25 November for a discussion of his exhibition and career. Over half of his exhibition has already been sold to collectors in the United States, Korea, Singapore and Paris. If you are interested in beginning to collect for investment or just pure enjoyment, Ivan’s pieces are priced affordably, in this collection from 1900-5000 euros. His retrospective book is also available for 35 euros.
