Sole Traveling Mama just can’t ever seem to get enough of Laduree! The pastries, the macarons, the frilly, frivolous decor; it’s just a decadent, dreamy delight for her! For 11 months of the year, STM can be found at the Laduree on 21 Rue Bonaparte in the 6th arrondissement. But when December comes, the only place STM wants to be is in the middle of all the glittering lights at the Laduree on the Champs Elysees!
Founded in 1862, Laduree is the quintessential meeting place in Paris for coffee, tea and sweeties, with your friends or a sweetheart. Each Christmas season, new flavors of macarons are debuted to entice patrons, often in gold or silver. STM would love to hear which flavor is your favorite….
The giftshops in each Laduree tearoom are an excellent source for buying last minute gifts or presents for someone who has “everything”. STM particularly likes the fragrant candles in pastel-colored bisque containers, that, when burned all the way down, can have a second use as a toothbrush holder or for hair pins.
Conveniently located near the Christmas markets, you can access this Laduree on Metro Line 1, stop George V or Franklin D. Roosevelt. www.laduree.com
